Born in 1982 Alice grew up in the seaside town of Saltburn in the north east of England. After completing a Foundation Course at Cleveland College of Art and Design, she went on to study an illustration degree at Edinburgh College of Art graduating with first class honours in June 2004, and receiving the Andrew Grant Bequest for outstanding work in illustration.

Alice currently lives and works in Edinburgh as an Illustrator, Designer and Book Artist. Her first book An A to Z Treasure Hunt has been published by Tate Publishing and was released in September 2007. Alice has worked with the Tate on an accompanying range of children's products, and will shortly begin work on her second book.

Alice has participated in various group exhibitions and her artists' books are held in private and public collections including: British Library, Tate, and Centre for Fine Print Research at University West of England Bristol.
